Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Quincy Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robin Sir!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sir wants to clinch but Quincy Adams slips to the side
and Quincy Adams counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Quincy Adams swats away the attempt to clinch by Sir.
Quincy Adams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sir tries to clinch up.

Quincy Adams gets tackled into the cage by Sir. Sir maintains the clinch.
Quincy Adams is trying to push Sir away but Sir has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Quincy Adams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sir tries to clinch but Quincy Adams moves out of range.
Quincy Adams throws a body punch but Sir moves out of range.
Sir tries to clinch up
and Quincy Adams counters with a nice uppercut.
Sir tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sir tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Quincy Adams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sir closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sir is looking to take a break and control but Quincy Adams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sir passes to side control.
Sir working away.

Sir is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quincy Adams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Sir thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Sir is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Quincy Adams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Quincy Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sir on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sir tries for a kimura but Quincy Adams is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sir is working to tighten is grip on Quincy Adams's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Quincy Adams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sir is really squeezing tight and eventually Quincy Adams passes out! Sir breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
