The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kalkbrenner.
Cooper definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kalkbrenner misses with a left hand
and Cooper counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kalkbrenner cracks Cooper with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kalkbrenner gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cooper misses with a low kick.

Kalkbrenner throws a hook but Cooper avoids it easily.

Cooper lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kalkbrenner ducks right into an uppercut from Cooper.

Kalkbrenner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cooper.
Kalkbrenner closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cooper takes a jab right on the kisser.
Cooper slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Cooper is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Cooper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kalkbrenner is rocked!
Kalkbrenner glances at the clock... BAM! Cooper nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kalkbrenner crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kalkbrenner is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francesc Cooper!
After the fight, Francesc Cooper was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
