The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward tries for a takedown but Kierkegaard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ward throws a right and a left that Kierkegaard avoids nicely.
Ward throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kierkegaard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Albert Ward has been cut.
Ward misses with a head kick.
Ward throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ward fails to land with a series of punches.
Ward is looking to clinch but Kierkegaard is avoiding it.
Ward shoots in for a double leg but Kierkegaard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ward pushes Kierkegaard up against the cage in a clinch.

Kierkegaard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

and Kierkegaard counters with a crisp one two that drops Ward! Kierkegaard thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ward to his feet! Ward is in big trouble!

Kierkegaard plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Ward swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Ward face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
