Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Junior throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Junior enables Pattis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Junior manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Junior had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pattis defends it easily.

Pattis stands and steps away. Junior gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Junior tries for a takedown but Pattis circles away easily

and Pattis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pattis.
Junior tries to circle away but Pattis has him pinned against the cage.
Junior is trying to break the clinch but Pattis is controlling him.

Pattis has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Junior is trying to keep an underhook but Pattis manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pattis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Junior is rocked!
Pattis scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Junior?
Junior is still in real trouble! Can Pattis finish him?
Pattis unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Junior wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Pattis celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
