PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jun Kawasaki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawasaki fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Donk. Kawasaki catches Perry right on the button with a cross.
Perry walks into a left hand.
Kawasaki displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Kawasaki shoots in and gets a takedown into Perry's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kawasaki passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Perry is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kawasaki off and has taken his back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perry is looking to control Kawasaki but Kawasaki is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Perry controlling well, preventing Kawasaki from escaping the position.
Perry doesn't have the hooks in and Kawasaki manages to turn into his guard.
Perry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Perry wants to sweep here but Kawasaki controlling him for the moment.

Kawasaki stands and throws Perry's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kawasaki has an Americana. Perry didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kawasaki is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kawasaki hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
