Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clarence Kelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David has chosen Craig David - Rise and Fall as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clarence Kelo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig David!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelo throws an overhand right that lands on David's shoulder, as David tries to avoid the shot.
Kelo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Kelo pushes David up against the cage in a clinch.
Kelo keeps control of David as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

David gets a trip takedown into half guard.

David seems to be working for a kimura but Kelo defends the submission attempt.
Kelo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
David thows a huge punch but Kelo dodges it nicely.

Kelo is looking for a triangle but David pushes his legs off easily.

Kelo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. David doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. David manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

David postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kelo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kelo wants to lay and pray for a moment but David keeps working.
Kelo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because David is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
David is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

David won't allow Kelo to pass to mount.

Kelo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
David is looking to regain half guard here but Kelo keeps moving and retains side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Clarence Kelo will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kelo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and David has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from David and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
David avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kelo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

David decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
David throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kelo to regain full guard.

Kelo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for David!

David has his foot on Kelo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kelo works his way back into a safe position though.

David is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kelo pulls his head out easily.

David is trying to drag Kelo to the mat but Kelo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

David drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kelo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Kelo has David pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kelo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending David tumbling to the mat - Kelo dives into David's guard.

Kelo's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Kelo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down David for as long as he can get away with.

David is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kelo defends well.
Kelo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Clarence Kelo.
