Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor O Mally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Mally has chosen Dropkick Murphys - Rose Tattoo as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hume on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by O Mally. O Mally obviously looking to wear him down.
Hume tries to clinch up
and O Mally counters with a right hand to the body.
Hume is looking to clinch.
Hume throws a series of punches but O Mally avoids them all with ease.

and O Mally connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hume throws a head kick that misses.
Hume moves out of range as O Mally strikes.
Hume really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hume keeps O Mally at a distance using the push kick.

Hume rushes O Mally and presses him up against the cage.
O Mally can't find room to land a body shot as Hume controls the action.

Hume gets control of O Mally's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hume will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hume is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hume is pulling down on O Mally's head to control his posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hume pulls out of a head kick attempt.
O Mally misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hume.
Hume slaps away a takedown attempt from O Mally, before circling back to the center of the mat.

O Mally throws out a loose jab but Hume uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hume swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
O Mally misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A head kick from Hume lands but O Mally takes it in his stride.
Hume misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

O Mally takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hume goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A shot to the liver by Hume. Beautiful body shot.
Hume looks to land a body kick but O Mally moved away.
Hume lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and O Mally counters with a lovely straight right hand!
O Mally catches Hume with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Hume is rocked!
O Mally on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Oh Hume is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
O Mally misses with a hook.
BOOM! O Mally lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hume. Hume tries to recover but O Mally is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hume lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
