The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Porrieste looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Greg Porrieste seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Porrieste rushes Adams and presses him up against the cage.
Porrieste tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Adams just stands there and leans against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Adams.
Adams gets underhooks to prevent Porrieste's takedown attempt.

Adams gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Adams is pressing down on Porrieste's thigh, looking to free his foot. Porrieste is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams wants to control but Porrieste is keeping him busy.

Adams looking to control but Porrieste is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Adams goes for an armbar but Porrieste turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Porrieste.

Porrieste trying to control the position from guard on top but Adams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Porrieste wants to pass the guard but Adams is keeping the position.
Adams pulls Porrieste in close to his closed guard and prevents Porrieste from doing any damage or advancing position.
Porrieste postures up.
Adams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Porrieste!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Adams looking for a guillotine from mount but Porrieste is having none of it.
Porrieste is desperately trying to improve his position but Adams has a good base and remains in mount.

Adams is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Porrieste is forced to tap! Great finish!
