The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan throws a series of punches but Guy avoids them all with ease.
Malapitan tries to bum rush Guy with a series of wild strikes but Guy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Malapitan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Guy sneaks back into half guard.
Guy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guy.
Guy is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Malapitan frees his head nicely. Oh but Guy has switched to an armbar! Malapitan is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
