Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silent Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob has chosen Jungle Love- Morris Day And The Time as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Bob.
Gray throws a big shot that misses.
Gray lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bob throws a leg kick that misses.
Bob thows a body shot but no joy.
Bob throws an overhand right that lands on Gray's shoulder, as Gray tries to avoid the shot.
Gray shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bob pinned against the cage. Bob gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gray uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bob.
Gray has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bob.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gray has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bob.

Bob stuffs the takedown attempt from Gray. Gray gets slowly back to his feet.
Gray is breathing heavily.
Bob pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gray blocks a leg kick.
Gray throws an off balance right hand
and Bob counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

A looping hook to the body misses from Gray. Bob does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bob's corner calls for a 1-2. Bob obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Brett Gray has been cut.
Gray takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A good leg kick by Bob.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gray avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bob lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bob turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Bob misses.
Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gray avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Gray tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gray avoids the body shot from Bob.
Gray shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brett Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bob scores with a push kick.
Bob turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Gray takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Bob feints and then cracks Gray's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gray down.
Gray on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gray misses with an uppercut

and Bob counters with a head kick that drops Gray to the mat! Gray scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Bob misses with an uppercut.
Gray moves out of range of the strikes.
Good leg kick by Bob there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gray takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bob slaps away a takedown attempt from Gray, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bob jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brett Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bob.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob connects with a solid leg kick.
Bob throws a leg kick which misses Gray's front leg but catches the back leg as Gray tries to avoid it.
Bob misses with a head kick.
Bob throws a front kick that sends Gray stumbling back into the cage.
Jab by Bob.
Silent Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bob moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gray tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bob uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gray has time to react.
Bob scores with a jab. Gray acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Bob lands a big right hand that sends Gray crashing to the mat! Bob stays standing though and waves Gray back to his feet!

Gray is rocked!
Bob finds Gray's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Gray flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Bob lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Gray will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Silent Bob!
After winning the bout, Silent Bob thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
