PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Kendrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendrick comes to the cage accompanied by Dream Theater - As I Am. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kendrick doesn't seem phased though.
Kendrick tries to clinch up.
Kendrick has a takedown stuffed.
Nice straight punches there by Silva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Silva.
Kendrick throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Kendrick is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kendrick closes the distance and clinches.
Kendrick swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kendrick has hold of one of Silva's legs. Silva is fighting the takedown attempt but Kendrick gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kendrick is standing up over Silva. Silva looks to escape but Kendrick dives into side control.

Kendrick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kendrick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A close round but Daniel Silva will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kendrick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

No luck for Kendrick with that takedown attempt.

and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.

Silva jabs Kendrick right on the nose. Kendrick blinks but takes it well.
Kendrick pivots, looking for a leg kick but Silva is out of range and Kendrick settles back down.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kendrick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bradley Kendrick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kendrick wants to clinch.

Kendrick shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Kendrick attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Kendrick has managed to clinch.
Silva trying to control the position but instead, Kendrick has worked for underhooks and has pushed Silva into the cage.

Kendrick tightens his grip and picks Silva up, before dumping him to the ground. Silva manages to land in guard.

Bradley Kendrick has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Kendrick fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Silva feints with a jab and clips Kendrick right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Kendrick is sent crashing into the canvas and Silva leaps in for the kill! Kendrick tries to get to his feet but Silva is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Kendrick is in need of a savior and steps in!
