The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
Jones closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.
Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Jones is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Silva is working for a submission of some sort.
Silva looks gassed!
Jones tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.
Jones tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jones wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Silva trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones drops Silva with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Silva! Jones dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
