Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ron Burgundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Konrad Kurze!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurze tests Burgundy's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kurze wants to land a leg kick but Burgundy is out of range.

Burgundy gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kurze.
Burgundy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kurze was well out of range. Poor timing from Burgundy.
Kurze swings for the body but Burgundy moves out of range.

Burgundy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kurze.

Kurze lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kurze tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Burgundy creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kurze can't find room to land a body shot as Burgundy controls the action.

Kurze throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Burgundy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Burgundy wants to stand but Kurze is controlling the position.
Kurze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burgundy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kurze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burgundy is fending him off so far but Kurze persists. Nope, Burgundy circles away and we're back to standing.
Ron Burgundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kurze. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Burgundy takes a swing at Kurze's ribcage but misses.
Burgundy is looking to wear down Kurze with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Burgundy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kurze manages to avoid it.

Burgundy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kurze scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kurze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kurze closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kurze might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Burgundy haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
