Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Philip Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Forbes!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forbes misses with a combination

and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Forbes won't be happy with that.

Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Brown looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Brown trying to control the action but Forbes is working from the bottom.

Brown prevents Forbes from escaping the position.

Brown wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Forbes, who protects the arm well.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brown thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brown is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Forbes has escaped the position, nice work there.

You can see the frustration on Forbes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown wants to control but Forbes is keeping him busy.

Brown swings around for an armbar but Forbes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Brown's guard.
Forbes trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brown working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Forbes.
Brown utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Brown is looking to cinch up a triangle. Forbes throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Brown's body to avoid the submission. Brown has instead reached around Forbes's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Brown arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
