Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Coronel Avas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Imanari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Avas or perhaps it was just good defense by Imanari which made him look bad.
Imanari tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Imanari tries to score a power double leg takedown but Avas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Imanari somewhat.

Avas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Avas remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
