Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez tries to land a front kick but Phelps steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lopez swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Phelps really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A head kick from Lopez lands but Phelps takes it in his stride.

Phelps closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Phelps lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lopez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Lopez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lopez. That's going to slow Phelps down.

Phelps got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lopez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Phelps has managed to get both his arms back between Lopez's legs - danger averted.

Lopez lands with a hook. Phelps tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lopez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Phelps moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Phelps closes the distance and clinches up with Lopez, looking for a takedown. Phelps pushes Lopez against the cage but Lopez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Diego Lopez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lopez throws a leg kick but Phelps sees it coming and moves out of range.

Lopez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Phelps's head.
