Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between gary garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven McCarel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven McCarel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by garcia.
McCarel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McCarel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
garcia working the ground and pound but McCarel is defending the strikes.
McCarel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
garcia wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCarel keeps working.
McCarel is looking to reverse the position.
McCarel regains half guard there - taking advantage of garcia's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
McCarel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McCarel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
McCarel controlling the position easily from mount.

garcia wants to control but McCarel is having none of it.
McCarel is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. garcia can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
garcia could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McCarel wants to get back to his feet but garcia is holding on tight.
McCarel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as garcia is looking to escape.
garcia tries to reverse the position but McCarel maintains control.
McCarel raining down shots from the mount!
Oooooh, big shot lands for McCarel! garcia is hurt baaadly! McCarel is firing away with more strikes - garcia is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
