Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Brockman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brockman comes to the cage accompanied by Battery. Diego Sanchez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jack Brockman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Brockman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diego Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Brockman!

Brockman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sanchez trying to control from the bottom.

Brockman is looking for a kimura here.
Brockman wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Sanchez uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Brockman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brockman, into his guard.
Sanchez trying to control but Brockman is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Diego Sanchez wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sanchez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sanchez throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sanchez with a hook.
Brockman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sanchez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brockman.
Sanchez misses with an uppercut
and Brockman counters with a thumping low kick.
Sanchez lands with a good body shot.
Sanchez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanchez thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brockman looks for a takedown but Sanchez sprawls well.
Brockman throws a series of strikes that have Sanchez backpedaling.
Sanchez lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Jack Brockman has been cut.
Sanchez looks to throw the jab but Brockman is out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez works the jab nicely.
Jack Brockman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez throws a jab but it's blocked by Brockman.
Sanchez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Brockman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanchez's waist but Sanchez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brockman off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Brockman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brockman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sanchez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Brockman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sanchez finds it's way round the side to connect with Brockman's head.
Sanchez scores with a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brockman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sanchez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Brockman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sanchez finds it's way round the side to connect with Brockman's head.


Brockman is rocked!
Sanchez thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Brockman if he has to take too many more of those.
Brockman ducks under a wild hook from Sanchez.
Brockman feints a jab promting Sanchez to slip. Brockman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sanchez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sanchez pushes Brockman up against the cage in a clinch.
Sanchez is working Brockman over against the cage.
Brockman is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez gets through Brockman's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Oh Brockman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jack Brockman's cut is getting worse.
Sanchez lands with a left to the head.
Brockman is working for takedown but Sanchez is calmly controlling the position for now.
Sanchez lands a body shot in the clinch.
Sanchez lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Sanchez creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Brockman's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Brockman drops to his knees and Sanchez pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Sanchez!
Diego Sanchez seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
