The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans misses with a straight right.
Evans connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Tomba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Evans counters with a solid body kick.

Evans closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tomba paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Evans closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Evans lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Evans throws a strike but Tomba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That was a close round but I would say that Rob Evans will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Tomba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Evans was well out of range. Poor timing from Tomba.

Evans tries to score with a low kick but Tomba moves his leg out of the way.
Tomba throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Evans has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tomba finds it's way round the side to connect with Evans's head.

Tomba lands a big right hand that sends Evans crashing to the mat! Tomba stays standing though and waves Evans back to his feet!

Evans is rocked!
Tomba fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Evans out cold! Brutal finish!
