Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ali Cali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rio Bignog!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bignog looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cali wants to stand up but Bignog is controlling him.
Bignog throws a big elbow that misses.
Bignog throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bignog stands up from Cali's guard - Bignog perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cali fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cali has managed to clinch.
Bignog pulls Cali into guard.
Bignog has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cali tries to stand but Bignog is controlling from the bottom.
Cali stands up and waves to Bignog to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That kick from Cali tenderised Bignog's leg. Bignog is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cali gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bignog to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cali is breathing heavily.
Bignog trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bignog throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bignog stands up and waves to Cali to follow him.
Bignog throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cali was covering up waiting for the punch and Bignog finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Bignog loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bignog tries to free his leg and advance position but Cali is retaining full guard.
Bignog with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bignog thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bignog throws a big right hand that misses.
Bignog stands up over Cali, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bignog looking to sit in guard and control but Cali gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bignog wriggles free and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cali darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Bignog.
Bignog is trying to get an arm triangle but Cali is defending well.
Cali might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bignog swings around for an armbar but Cali sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bignog's guard.
Bignog looking for a triangle here. Cali is fighting it but it looks tight! Bignog pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Cali is tapping out - this one is all over!
