Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Piano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Piano!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Piano.
A lazy left from Piano finds it's target.
Piano throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snow's waist but Snow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Piano off to one side.
A left and a right from Piano both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Jon Snow has been cut.
Piano waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Snow.

Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Piano.
Piano throws a right hand that Snow ducks under and follows up with a left that Snow also avoids with ease.

Piano goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Piano is trying to control. Snow wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Piano looking to control but Snow is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Snow keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Piano lands a big elbow.
Snow bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Snow is in close to Piano's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Piano is looking for a triangle but Snow pushes his legs off easily.

Piano utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Snow is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Snow throws a big elbow that misses.

Snow works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Piano is looking for a sweep. Snow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Snow seems to be working for a kimura but Piano defends the submission attempt.
Snow thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snow lands a nice short elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Piano is not content to let Snow control the position.
Piano has hold of Snow's hands but Snow slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Snow takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Piano is staying active underneath Snow, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Snow missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Piano tries to roll over but Snow keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Snow will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Piano closes the distance looking to clinch
and Snow counters with a nice uppercut.
Piano swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Snow counters with a head kick.
A shot to the body from Piano misses
and Snow counters with a nice low kick that buckles Piano's knee momentarily.
No joy there for Piano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Piano tries to clinch but Snow is having none of it.
Piano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Snow here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Piano misses with a hook. Snow ducked under it nicely.

Snow gets tackled into the cage by Piano. Piano maintains the clinch.
Piano cracks Snow with a nice body shot.
Piano has Snow pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Snow manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Piano tries to work over Snow's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Snow tries to score a body lock takedown but Piano shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Piano is pushing Snow up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Piano swings wildly with an uppercut but Snow uses good head movement to avoid it.

Piano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Snow as he jumps to the side.
Snow leaves Piano with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Don Piano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Piano drives through with a takedown into Snow's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Snow looking to hit a scissor sweep but Piano is one step ahead there.

Piano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snow swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jon Snow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Don Piano.
Snow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Piano lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Snow has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Snow and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Piano managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Snow.

Snow working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Snow misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Piano takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Piano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Piano parries the strikes from Snow easily there. Snow is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Piano to escape.
Snow throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Piano works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Snow misses with a head shot. Piano uses the momentum to regain guard.
Snow wants to control from the top but Piano keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Snow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Snow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Snow has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
