PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between PO Burn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burn comes to the cage accompanied by Animal i have become. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Paul!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burn looks to land a right hand but Paul moved out of range.

Burn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Paul is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Burn is controlling him.
Burn passes into half guard.
Burn not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Burn scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Paul moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Burn tries to stand but Paul is controlling from the bottom.

Paul is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burn defends well.

Burn is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Paul!

Paul controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Burn is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Paul knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Paul for a finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paul is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Burn working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Paul is doing well to defend. Burn seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Paul is forced to tap and this one is over!
