The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Silva throws a body punch but Alexander moves out of range.
Daniel Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexander tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva connects with a body shot that sends Alexander's belly button to the back.
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Alexander fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alexander looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Alexander persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Daniel Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Alexander.
Alexander will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Alexander doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Silva counters with a right hand to the body.
Alexander fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silva lands a jab to Alexander's midsection.
Silva cracks Alexander with a good jab.

It looks like Daniel Alexander has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva drops Alexander with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alexander looks back up at him and smiles so Silva waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Alexander is rocked!
OH! Alexander has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Silva smells blood and charges in for the finish! Silva unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Alexander sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
