David shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nyrkki but Nyrkki pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nyrkki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for David. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
David will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nyrkki throws a low kick, looking for David's leg but David calmly moves out of range.

David scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nyrkki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in David's guard.
David can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nyrkki controls the pace.

David throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nyrkki escapes and throws David's legs to the side, diving into side control!

David is looking to regain half guard here but Nyrkki keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nyrkki lands a straight punch to the body, keeping David at a distance.
David misses with a hook. Nyrkki ducked under it nicely.

David looks to throw the jab but Nyrkki is out of range.

David decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Nyrkki tries to get to full guard but David has control of the leg.
