Watt comes to the cage accompanied by 30 Seconds To Mars - Closer To The Edge. Silver Back is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Back decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Back bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Watt looks to score with a jab to the body but Back is just out of range.
Watt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Back manages to avoid it.

Back shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Watt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Watt takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Watt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That kick from Watt tenderised Back's leg. Back is trying to keep his angry face on.
Back takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd cheers as Watt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Back doesn't seem phased though.

Back wants to clinch but Watt slips to the side
and Watt makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Back is still on wobbly legs! Can Watt finish him?
Back looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Watt is fending him off so far but Back persists. Nope, Watt circles away and we're back to standing.
Back seems to have recovered his senses.
Back is breathing heavily.

Back's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Watt feints and then cracks Back's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Back down.

Watt drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Back changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Watt tries to avoid it but Back manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Watt to the ground. Watt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Watt, as that shot connected.
Watt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Back momentarily.
Watt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Back. That did some damage!
