Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucho Luvichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Zhang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucho Luvichev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincent Zhang!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhang fails with the takedown

and Luvichev counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Zhang is controlling Luvichev's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Zhang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luvichev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Luvichev controlling the action here.
Luvichev passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zhang!

Luvichev wants to control the pace but Zhang is squirming around nicely.
Luvichev lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Luvichev looking to control but Zhang is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Zhang prevents Luvichev from taking his back.
Luvichev dominating with strikes here.
Luvichev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Luvichev avoids the attempt from Zhang to control.
Luvichev controlling the pace for now.
Zhang can't escape the position.
Zhang is still trying to improve position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Luvichev landing strikes from the mount and Zhang is in trouble!
Luvichev tries to control but Zhang wriggling away.
Zhang looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Luvichev not allowing Zhang to control his hands.
Luvichev tries to keep control of the position but Zhang is staying busy.
Luvichev is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Luvichev gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Luvichev gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Luvichev apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Nice sprawl there from Zhang as Luvichev shoots in.
Zhang fails with a takedown attempt.

Zhang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Luvichev gets back to full guard.
Luvichev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zhang's guard.
Luvichev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Zhang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Luvichev advances to half guard.
Luvichev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Luvichev prevents Zhang from improving his position.

Zhang actively working from the bottom here.
Zhang looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zhang tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Luvichev has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Zhang wants to control but Luvichev is having none of it.
Luvichev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zhang is looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucho Luvichev dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Luvichev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Luvichev shoots in for a takedown but Zhang shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zhang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luvichev's waist but Luvichev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zhang off to one side.
Zhang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Zhang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Luvichev!
Luvichev is trying to control Zhang's posture but Zhang avoids it.
Luvichev regains half guard.
Luvichev wants to control but Zhang is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Luvichev wants to improve his position but Zhang is controlling well.
Luvichev gets back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zhang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Luvichev has control of Zhang's left arm, preventing Zhang from doing any damage.
Zhang is in close to Luvichev's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Zhang tries to free his leg and advance position but Luvichev is retaining full guard.
Luvichev is trying to keep Zhang in close.
Luvichev throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Luvichev lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zhang!
Luvichev lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Zhang wants to control but Luvichev is having none of it.
Luvichev trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zhang can't escape the position.

Zhang tries to improve his position but Luvichev has taken his back! Luvichev has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Zhang tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Luvichev pushes Zhang away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lucho Luvichev!
