Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abraham Lincoln!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Gonzales !
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lincoln looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lincoln on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gonzales . Gonzales obviously looking to wear him down.
Horrible takedown by Gonzales or perhaps it was just good defense by Lincoln which made him look bad.
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lincoln but Lincoln pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gonzales has a takedown stuffed.

Lincoln really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gonzales has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lincoln uses from the top position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Gonzales stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gonzales wants it to stay on the feet.
Jose Gonzales has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Abraham Lincoln is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Lincoln throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gonzales was covering up waiting for the punch and Lincoln finishes the takedown easily into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Abraham Lincoln.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lincoln, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
