The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake takes one on the button.
Marshall looks to land a right hand but Blake moved out of range.
Marshall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Marshall jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Blake slips a straight right by Marshall.
Roan Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshall takes a swing at Blake's ribcage but misses.
Marshall misses with an uppercut. Blake saw that one coming.
A big right from Marshall misses.
Marshall connects with a body shot.
Marshall thows a left - swing and a miss!
Blake uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marshall.
Blake walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The fighters circling - Marshall throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marshall swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Marshall throws a series of punches but Blake moves out of range.
Marshall throws a right hand that Blake ducks under and follows up with a left that Blake also avoids with ease.

Marshall keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Marshall fails to land with a series of punches.
Marshall connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Blake fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Blake has a takedown stuffed.
Marshall misses with the combination.
Marshall is breathing heavily.
Nice body punch from Blake.
Some wild striking there from Marshall.

Blake staying out of range there.
Marshall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marshall misses with a looping right.
Marshall looks to land a right hand but Blake moved out of range.
Marshall throws out a loose jab but Blake uses good head movement to avoid it.

Blake feints and as Marshall raises his hands in defense, Blake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blake cracks Marshall with a solid left hand.

Blake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Blake missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Blake throwing strikes from guard but Marshall blocks nicely.

Blake passes Marshall's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Blake is working for a kimura but Marshall is defending it quite comfortably.

Blake is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Blake looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Marshall blocking the ground and pound attempt from Blake.
Blake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blake is pressing down on Marshall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Marshall is holding on for now.
Blake stops Marshall from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Blake dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Marshall is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Blake counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Marshall throws a left and a right that both miss

and Blake counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Blake.
Blake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marshall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blake wants to pass the guard but Marshall is keeping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Blake passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Blake is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marshall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marshall is trying to get back to his feet.
Blake has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Marshall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marshall tries to get out of the position.

Blake jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Marshall manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Blake with the ground and pound but Marshall regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Blake has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Marshall defend it? Blake steps over the head and cranks it - Marshall is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Blake!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bobby Blake!
