The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Richardson cracks the inside of Silva's front leg.
Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Richardson looking for submissions off his back.
Richardson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break Richardson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Silva is sitting in close to Richardson's body. Richardson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Richardson.
