The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pig's calf.
Bastian Heller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heller scores with a kick to the body.
Heller lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Pig steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Heller. That one must have hurt.
Pig takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pig misses with a looping left.
Heller throws a leg kick that is checked
and Pig counters with a nice uppercut.
Pig walks forward, straight into a front kick from Heller.

Pig gets in close and instigates a clinch.

It looks like Bastian Heller has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heller working Pig over with knees to the body.
Pig tries to pull guard but Heller forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Heller connects with a knee to the head.
Pig lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Heller or not.

Pig jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pig seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Pig's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Pig on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pig tries to get out of the position.
Heller looks winded!

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pig is on top in guard.
Heller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pig sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Heller's guard.
Pig lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Pig is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Heller is hurt! He's hurt bad - Pig fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Heller from any more punishment! Congratulations to Pig! Great finish!
