Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manu Asce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Sean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Manu Asce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Sean!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asce tries for a takedown but Sean sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sean looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Asce clinches up with Sean and pushes him back against the cage.
Asce is trying to break the clinch but Sean has him pressed against the cage.
Asce pressing his opponent against the cage.
Asce wants to break the clinch but can't.
Asce wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sean has him pressed against the cage.

Sean manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Asce keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sean's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Asce postures up in Sean's guard and throws a big left but Sean blocks it.
Asce seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sean has a closed guard, preventing Asce from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sean avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Asce throwing strikes but missing.
Asce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sean on the ground.

Asce stands up and waves to Sean to follow him.
Asce throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sean.
Sean walks into a stiff left hand from Asce.
Asce lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Asce connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


Sean is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Asce darts in and clinches Sean up against the cage.
Sean is still on wobbly legs! Can Asce finish him?

Sean is defending well against a takedown attempt.
A short right from Asce.
Sean with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sean keeps control of Asce as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sean tries to stall but Asce uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Sean looking for a takedown.
Asce goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sean prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manu Asce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Asce throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Seans head.
Asce is trying to force a seperation but Sean has the dominant position.
Asce taking a breather.
Sean tries to break the clinch but Asce is controlling the position.
Sean tries to pull guard but Asce holds him up against the cage and eventually Sean drops back down to his feet.

Asce pulls guard successfully.
Asce is pulling down on Sean's head to control his posture.
Asce wants to get back to his feet but Sean is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Asce looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sean is one step ahead there.

Asce looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sean stopping the sweep attempt from Asce.
Sean seems to have recovered his senses.
Sean trying to control the position from guard on top but Asce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sean Sean hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Asce clinches.

Asce has Sean pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sean manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sean is trying to force a seperation but Asce has the dominant position.
Asce is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sean pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Asce is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Asce is pressed up against the cage. Sean has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Asce down to the mat. Asce avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Asce misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sean Sean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asce shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sean but Sean pushes him off and we're back to square one.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Asce gets tackled into the cage by Sean. Sean maintains the clinch.
Sean is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Asce shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Asce fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sean avoids it really well and circles away.
Asce lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Asce looks for the body kick but Sean saw that one coming.
Sean stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sean wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manu Asce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Asce throws a head kick that misses.
Asce shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sean pinned against the cage. Sean gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sean shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Asce as he avoids it easily.

Sean has a takedown stuffed.
Asce shoots in for a takedown but Sean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Asce fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Asce dives in and scores a takedown into Sean's guard.

Sean is working an open guard so Asce takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Asce working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Asce fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sean manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sean jumps guard but Asce stands there with Sean around his waist. Sean gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sean tries a body shot but Asce blocks it.
A nice left hand lands by Asce.

Asce pulls guard effortlessly.
Asce working a defensive guard here.
Sean won't allow Asce to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sean wants to control from the top but Asce keeps moving.

Asce working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sean doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sean manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Asce is looking to stand up but Sean isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Asce moves out of range of the body kick from Sean.
Asce goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Asce tries to clinch but Sean moves out of range.
Asce tries to clinch there but Sean circles away.
Asce cracks Sean with an open hand slap.
Sean avoids the head kick by Asce.
Asce misses with a leg kick.
Asce ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Asce tries a low kick but Sean avoids it.
Sean takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Asce gets a clinch.

Asce pulls guard successfully.

Asce had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sean defends it easily.
Asce wants to get back to his feet but Sean is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sean postures up in Asce's guard and throws a big left but Asce blocks it.
Sean pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Asce is keeping the position for now.

Asce is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sean trying to control but Asce is working from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Manu Asce has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sean checks a leg kick.
Manu Asce is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Asce lands a nice looking body shot.
Asce fails with the takedown.
Manu Asce is winning the standup battle so far.
Asce connects with a single shot there.
Asce looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sean walks into a stiff left hand from Asce.
Asce connects with a body shot that sends Sean's belly button to the back.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sean is defended easily by Asce.
Manu Asce is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sean.

Asce scores with a nice right hand.
Asce goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Asce stalks Sean and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sean's face. Sean staggers backwards, shaken.
Sean walks into a stiff left hand from Asce.
Asce shoots in for a takedown but Sean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Asce moves in looking to clinch but Sean pushes him off.
Sean Sean has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sean keeps the fight on the outside.

And that's the end of the fight!
Manu Asce showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Asce has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
