The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nasty darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nasty prevents Danil from standing back up.
Nasty is looking to advance position but Danil won't allow it.
Danil blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nasty.
Nasty lands with a punch from half guard.
Nasty lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Danil is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Nasty tightens his grip and picks Danil up, before dumping him to the ground. Danil manages to land in guard.
Danil wants to get back to his feet but Nasty is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nasty trying to control the position from guard on top but Danil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Danil has momentary wrist control but Nasty slips an elbow through the middle.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Skip Nasty wasn't active enough on the ground.
Nasty throws a push kick but Danil slaps the foot to one side.
Danil tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nasty swivels and escapes.

Danil gets caught napping as Nasty dives in and scores a takedown. Danil manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nasty stuffs the takedown attempt from Danil. Danil gets slowly back to his feet.
Nasty leaves Danil with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Nasty looks up at the clock and then as Danil takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nasty smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Danil is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nasty has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Nasty is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Danil is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Danil tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Danil is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Nasty goes for an armbar but Danil turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Danil.

Nasty has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Danil has passed into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Danil thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Danil wants to control but Nasty is keeping him busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Danil is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nasty is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Skip Nasty.
Danil shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nasty sprawls well. Nasty wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Danil gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Azarov Danil. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Danil tries for a takedown but Nasty sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nasty closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Danil to the mat! Danil manages to get full guard.

Nasty decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Danil, up you get!

Skip Nasty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Danil shoots in and bounces Nasty off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nasty wants to stand and escape but Danil is having none of it.
Danil forces his way into half guard.
Nasty trying to control from the bottom.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Skip Nasty.

Nasty takes the fight into the clinch.

Nasty has clasped his hands together around Danil's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Danil wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nasty decides to stand back up. Nasty steps back and let's Danil get back to his feet.
Nasty scores with a jab. Danil acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Nasty shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nasty showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nasty seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Danil does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Nasty tries to pass to full mount but Danil defends it.
Nasty is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Nasty trying to control the action but Danil is working from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Skip Nasty hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Danil fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Nasty feints and as Danil raises his hands in defense, Nasty changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Danil wants to stand and escape but Nasty is having none of it.
Nasty is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Danil wants to stand up but Nasty is controlling him.

Nasty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Danil keeps working.

Nasty is looking for a kimura but Danil is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nasty to get the leverage.

Nasty thows a left - swing and a miss!
Danil looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nasty is fending him off so far but Danil persists. Nope, Nasty circles away and we're back to standing.

Nasty throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Danil tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nasty is in Danil's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Danil wants to stand but Nasty is controlling the position.

Danil manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Danil looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nasty is trying to maintain the position but Danil is very close to passing his half guard.

Well Nasty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
