The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thump connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diaz momentarily.
Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thump circles away.
Django Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thump avoids it really well and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz.

Thump keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

It looks like Django Diaz has been cut.
Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thump's waist but Thump gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side.
Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thump circles away.
Diaz shoots in but no luck this time.
Diaz is breathing heavily.

Thump lands a big head kick that sends Diaz tumbling to the mat! Thump takes a step backwards and waves Diaz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Thump shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Thump feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Diaz's calf.
Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Thump which made him look bad.
Thump lands with a kick to the ribs.
The fighters circle, before Thump throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Diaz's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Thump lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
