Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between MIKE SILVA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox has chosen Voices as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that MIKE SILVA has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily MIKE SILVA seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SILVA stuffs the takedown attempt from Knox. Knox gets slowly back to his feet.
Knox moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

SILVA wants to control from the top but Knox keeps moving.
Knox is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Knox ducks down and throws a hook to the body but SILVA moves away.

SILVA looks to land a combination but Knox avoids it well.
SILVA throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Knox swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

SILVA pushes off an throws an elbow but Knox leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

It looks like MIKE SILVA has been cut.

SILVA seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Knox for as long as he can get away with.

Knox working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. SILVA doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. SILVA manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

SILVA closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Knox closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knox lands in his opponent's guard.

Knox drops back, looking for a kneebar! SILVA looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. SILVA looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from SILVA!

SILVA is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Knox will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
