Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brooks Buford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirty Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buford comes to the cage accompanied by country boy. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dirty Randy enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks Buford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Randy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Randy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buford accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Randy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Buford is aware though and is defending well.

Buford drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Randy dives on top into guard.
Buford thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Buford has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Randy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Buford.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Buford throws a jab but it's blocked by Randy.
Randy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buford as he jumps to the side.
Buford will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Buford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Randy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dirty Randy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brooks Buford.
