Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Smith!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belcher scores with a nice right hand.
Belcher misses with a body kick.
Belcher throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Belcher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Smith!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Smith sneaks back into half guard.
Belcher tries to pass the half guard into mount. Smith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Smith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is doing well to control the position and prevent Belcher from advancing to side control.
Belcher sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smith defending well though.
Belcher frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Belcher thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Smith is working to get back to half guard.
Belcher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smith tries to hold on but Belcher pushes him away.
Belcher looking to ground and pound but Smith is blocking nicely.
Belcher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Smith is looking to escape.

Belcher lands a nice shot to the head.


Smith is rocked!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Belcher throws some wild stikes that Smith manages to avoid easily.
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Belcher finish him?
Smith is working to get back to half guard.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
Smith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Belcher throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Belcher landing strikes from the mount and Smith is in trouble!
Belcher lands a couple of good shots and Smith has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Smith covering up well under a series of strikes from Belcher.

Belcher is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Smith is defending well though. Belcher let's go of the attempt for now.

Belcher wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Belcher lands a shot to the head.

Belcher scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Belcher punches Smith on the ear.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Belcher is punishing Smith with strikes - can he finish him?!
Smith is in bad spot here.
Smith looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Belcher lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Smith.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Belcher dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A punch combination from Belcher misses.
Smith lands with a straight right. Belcher didn't see that one coming.
Belcher connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smith. Smith circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Belcher defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith.

and Belcher connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Belcher pushes Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith tries to land knees in the clinch but Belcher avoids the damage to the body.

Smith manages to break the clinch.

Belcher lands a big uppercut and Smith crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Smith looks OK. Belcher waves Smith back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belcher misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belcher connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Smith to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Belcher!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bob Belcher!
