The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fRodO throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
fRodO misses with a straight right.
Hasegawa tries to close the distance and clinch but fRodO swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
fRodO throws a low kick but Hasegawa avoids it.
fRodO tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
fRodO wants to slow Hasegawa down by chopping away at his legs.
fRodO slaps away a takedown attempt from Hasegawa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
fRodO scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nice defenses there by Hasegawa.
Hasegawa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A slow jab from fRodO misses its intended target.
Hasegawa wants to clinch.

Hasegawa closes the distance and clinches.

fRodO is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hasegawa can't fight it off and eventually fRodO manages to take the fight to the floor. Hasegawa looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hasegawa looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but fRodO is defending well. Hasegawa quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! fRodO has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hasegawa celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
