Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Cierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Polish Engineer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Polish Engineer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engineer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Cierra misses the body punch
letting Engineer counter with a right hand.
It looks like Carlos Cierra has been cut.
Cierra throws a lazy uppercut
and Engineer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cierra moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That kick from Cierra tenderised Engineer's leg. Engineer is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Engineer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cierra gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Engineer throws out a powerful jab.
Cierra moves in looking to clinch but Engineer pushes him off.
Engineer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fighters circling - Engineer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Engineer takes a swing at Cierra's ribcage but misses.
Cierra tries to clinch there but Engineer circles away.
Engineer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cierra was well out of range. Poor timing from Engineer.
Cierra slaps away a takedown attempt from Engineer, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Cierra with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Engineer to score with a decent uppercut.

Carlos Cierra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Engineer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Engineer tests Cierra's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Engineer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cierra had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Cierra is looking to clinch.
Engineer thuds his right hand into Cierra's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Cierra throws a hook but Engineer avoids it easily.
Cierra uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Engineer.
Cierra takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cierra throws a leg kick but Engineer sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Cierra's corner calls for a 1-2. Cierra obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Cierra moves out of range as Engineer strikes.
Engineer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Engineer might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Cierra has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Cierra wants to clinch
and Engineer counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cierra!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Engineer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cierra keeps working.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cierra avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Engineer.
Engineer creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Carlos Cierra's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Engineer prevents Cierra from escaping the position.
Cierra is trying to control Engineer's posture but Engineer avoids it.
Engineer scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cierra to see if he's OK.
Jeez, Carlos Cierra's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Polish Engineer!
Polish Engineer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
