Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Pineda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrell comes to the cage accompanied by J. Cole - Blow Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 2, fighting out of New York, Shelton Harrell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Pineda!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pineda connects with a body shot.
Pineda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harrell.
Harrell throws a hook but Pineda avoids it easily.
A big left from Harrell misses.
Harrell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pineda was well out of range. Poor timing from Harrell.
Pineda checks a low kick from Harrell.
Harrell misses with a low kick as Pineda jumps back.
Harrell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harrell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pineda.
Pineda ducks under a wild hook from Harrell.
Harrell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pineda manages to avoid it.
Pineda checks the leg kick nicely there.
Pineda moves out of range as Harrell throws a body kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Pineda blocks the leg kick.
Harrell scores with a jab.
Harrell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pineda stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Harrell just misses with a punch to the body.
Harrell wants to land a leg kick but Pineda is out of range.
Harrell takes a swing at Pineda's ribcage but misses.
Harrell falls off balance throwing a combination

and Pineda counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Harrell is trying to escape the position but Pineda is controlling the position.

Pineda is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Harrell has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pineda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harrell keeps working.

Harrell manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harrell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pineda's head.

Pineda lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harrell!

Pineda can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Harrell is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pineda misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
