Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Whippany (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Anane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Whippany lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Anane down.

Anane parries the strikes from Whippany easily there. Whippany is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Anane to escape.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Whippany postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
