The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pearson was well out of range. Poor timing from Archer.

Pearson darts in and clinches Archer up against the cage.
A short uppercut from Pearson.
Pearson prevents a body shot from Archer.
Pearson working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Pearson lands a nice elbow.

Archer is rocked!

It looks like Sterling Archer has been cut.
Archer tries to throw a body punch but Pearson avoids it by throwing Archer back against the cage.
Archer tries to break the clinch but Pearson is controlling the position.
Pearson dips a shoulder and cracks Archer with a mighty uppercut! Archer falls back against the cage and Pearson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Archer is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pearson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clay Pearson!
A relieved looking Clay Pearson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
