The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrosyan moves into the clinch.

Petrosyan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Petrosyan. Kowalski shrugs it off though.
Petrosyan misses the jab.
Petrosyan connects with a single shot there.
Petrosyan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Petrosyan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kowalski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kowalski is looking to clinch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Petrosyan, right into the meat.
Kowalski takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Shawn Kowalski has been cut.

Petrosyan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Petrosyan tries for a kimura but Kowalski is defending well.

Petrosyan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kowalski, who protects the arm well.

Petrosyan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Kowalski takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Petrosyan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kowalski is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Petrosyan yanks on the arm and Kowalski is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Petrosyan.
