Louvierre has chosen Dirty House as his entrance music. Shawn Henderson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Louvierre shoots in and bounces Henderson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Louvierre with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Henderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Louvierre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Henderson has his foot on Louvierre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Louvierre works his way back into a safe position though.

Louvierre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Louvierre cracks Henderson with a solid left hand.
Louvierre controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Louvierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and Henderson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Louvierre has managed to get both his arms back between Henderson's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henderson has an active guard here but Louvierre has managed to pass into half guard.
Louvierre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Henderson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Louvierre connects with a nice short shot to Henderson's temple.
