The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Romero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Romero has taken the fight into the clinch.

Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Romero controls the pace.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Romero drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Romero is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
