Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel McHughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Laynpray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McHughes comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome To My Hood. Laynpray comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Estranged by GN'R - all 10 minuets of it. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Joe Laynpray enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McHughes scores with a decent looking hook.
Laynpray shoots in but McHughes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McHughes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Joe Laynpray has been cut.
McHughes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Laynpray shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Laynpray was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

McHughes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Laynpray has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Laynpray shoots in for a takedown but McHughes shows good takedown defense.
McHughes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Laynpray on the side of the head.
Laynpray dives in and grabs McHughes's left leg, looking for a takedown. McHughes pushes down on Laynpray's head and hops out.
Nigel McHughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Laynpray.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McHughes, as that shot connected.

Laynpray gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

McHughes lands a big head kick that sends Laynpray tumbling to the mat! McHughes takes a step backwards and waves Laynpray back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Laynpray is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McHughes dances in with a quick combination. Laynpray is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from McHughes snaps Laynpray's head back. Laynpray stumbles backwards against the cage. McHughes steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Laynpray's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Laynpray just didn't come prepared.
