The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damme lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Van Damme lands a head kick. Garretty smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Van Damme throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Garretty.
Van Damme lands with a hook. Garretty tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That kick from Van Damme tenderised Garretty's leg. Garretty is trying to keep his angry face on.
Van Damme digs a good hook to Garretty's body.
Garretty gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Garretty fails with a takedown attempt.

Garretty wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Garretty throws a series of punches but Van Damme moves out of range.
Garretty pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Van Damme back to the ropes. Garretty follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Van Damme cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Garretty thows a body shot but no joy.
Van Damme slips a jab and a cross from Garretty.
Jean Claude Van Damme is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Garretty tries to bum rush Van Damme with a series of wild strikes but Van Damme uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Garretty looks winded!

Van Damme throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Garretty on the side of the head.

Van Damme is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Garretty drops his hands for a split second and Van Damme immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Garretty face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Van Damme follows up with a right hand that knocks Garretty into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
