Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zheka Kot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grappling Guy One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kot tries to clinch up.
One keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

One scores with a takedown into Kot's guard.
One trying to control but Kot is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as One accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
One postures up in Kot's guard and throws a big left but Kot blocks it.

One controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
One is looking to advance position but Kot has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

One swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

One is bucking up trying to escape but Kot cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kot avoids the attempt from One to control.
One takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
One tries to lock up and control but Kot gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

One looking to sit in guard and control but Kot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
One throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Grappling Guy One will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kot gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and One counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kot won't be happy with that.

One is looking to take a break and control but Kot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
One in side control, throwing shots but Kot defends.
One has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kot!

One goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kot turns into him and now he's in One's guard.

Grappling Guy One has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Grappling Guy One showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kot got a little sloppy there for a moment and One has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kot has managed to get both his arms back between One's legs - danger averted.
