The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klemperer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Starner counters with a left and a right that stings Klemperer.
Klemperer throws out a loose jab but Starner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Klemperer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Starner counters with a straight right hand.
Some wild striking there from Klemperer.
Klemperer throws a sloppy head kick and Starner moves out of range easily.
Starner slips under a jab.
Starner moves out of range as Klemperer strikes.
Klemperer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Klemperer looks to throw the jab but Starner is out of range.
Starner keeps the fight on the outside.
Starner connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Werner Klemperer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Klemperer with that takedown attempt.
Starner is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Klemperer like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Klemperer from another fist facial!

Ryan Starner spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
