Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bogie McGill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonardo Patrelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGill drives through and clinches with Patrelli against the cage.
McGill tries to land a knee to the head but Patrelli blocks with his arms.
McGill stalls.

Patrelli escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McGill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

McGill not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Patrelli fails with an attempt to clinch.

Patrelli gets tackled into the cage by McGill. McGill maintains the clinch.
Patrelli is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McGill to keep the fight standing.

McGill has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Patrelli regains guard immediately.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McGill passes Patrelli's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Patrelli tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McGill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

McGill seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Patrelli for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bogie McGill.

McGill works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
McGill makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McGill stays in close to Patrelli's body and controls the position.
McGill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Patrelli can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McGill controls the pace.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A big strike lands for McGill! That's really hurt Patrelli and he's turned his back - McGill keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! McGill jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
