Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danny Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waru Kuzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dangerous. Waru Kuzuri has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuzuri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice body kick from Power.
An inside leg kick from Kuzuri misses.
Kuzuri swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Power lands with a nice body kick.
Kuzuri pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Power back to the cage. Kuzuri follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Danny Power has been cut.
Power jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Power walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kuzuri.

It looks like Waru Kuzuri has been cut.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kuzuri.
Waru Kuzuri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kuzuri thuds a left hand into Power's body.

Power fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kuzuri to the ground. Power is now in Kuzuri's guard.
Power controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kuzuri is on top in guard.
Power is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kuzuri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Power swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kuzuri forces his way into half guard.
Kuzuri wants to pass the guard but Power is defending well.
Kuzuri seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Power does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kuzuri is taking a breather. Power says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power distracts Kuzuri with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Power will probably get the nod.

Kuzuri motions for Power to come forward. Kuzuri throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Power fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kuzuri checks it well.
Kuzuri misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Waru Kuzuri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuzuri misses with a body kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kuzuri, as that shot connected.

Kuzuri throws a leg kick but Power sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kuzuri lands a really nice looking cross but Power seems unphased.
Power doesn't manage to clinch there - Kuzuri circles away.

Waru Kuzuri seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The fighters circling - Kuzuri throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

That's time! Power's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Power blocks a jab.
Kuzuri swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kuzuri stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kuzuri slips under a jab from Power.
Power sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Power looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kuzuri is avoiding damage well.

Power wants to control the pace but Kuzuri is squirming around nicely.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Power cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Power lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Power wants to control but Kuzuri is keeping him busy.

Kuzuri is trying to control but can't.
Kuzuri is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Power's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Power's back!

You can see the frustration on Power's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Power just trying to survive but Kuzuri is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Power throws a right hand that Kuzuri ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuzuri also avoids with ease.

Power is looking to clinch but Kuzuri is avoiding it.
Power throws a nice looking combination but Kuzuri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Power fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kuzuri manages to avoid it.
Kuzuri ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Power moves away.

Power's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kuzuri connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Power scrambles back to his feet.

Power misses with a hook. Kuzuri ducked under it nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kuzuri throws a leg kick but Power moved away.
Power throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Power shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kuzuri as he jumps to the side.

Kuzuri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Power has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
